- Visiting Melbourne from Perth (one of the hottest and driest cities in Australia) it was hard to resist a frolic in the rain. It felt cool and cleansing. It lifted the spirits and everything seemed more intense – the scents, the sounds, the light and the shine on the colourful streets. Many people go on vacation to find sun and sand and beaches, but when that is your natural environment you seek a different environment and different sensations.
