München – Frauenkirche

    Construction work in the Center of Munich. In the background one sees the twin towers of the Frauenkirche (Cathedral of Our Lady),Munich’s major landmark since they were added in 1525. The church is the largest in Munich and one of largest Gothic buildings in southern Germany.

    The Alte Pinakothek is one of the oldest and most important galleries in the world.
    A highlight is the Old German art by Altdorfer and Dürer. Both Dürer’s epochal self-portrait from 1500 as well as his “Four Apostles” can be admired in the Alte Pinakothek.

    Englischer Garten – There are plenty of bridlepaths in the park, but I haven’t see a single equestrian. When I was there last they didn’t look very well used – perhaps the horses were away on holiday.
