This image would not be in the least surprising if it had been taken in London, Manchester or anywhere else in the UK except this was taken in Gockhausen, Switzerland in a quite street away from the urban centre of Zurich.

This is a classic Giles Gilbert Scott K2 phonebox designed for the Post Office, as I believe it was then known. There is obvioulsy a fan of this classic piece of design living close by who went to the trouble of importing this object from the UK. On the other hand, it could just be a new kind of mobile phone. ps there is no telephone inside but it provides shelter from the rain should you wish to make a call from your mobile. This photograph was taken in Gockhausen, near Zurich in Switzerland. It shows an Eton Fives court. Can you imagine my astonishment coming across this curious structure in this location on the edge of a field?

Eton Fives is one derivative of the British game of Fives, it is a hand-ball game, similar to Rugby Fives, played as doubles in a three-sided court. The only Eton Fives courts outside the UK are in France and Switzerland.
